Investing in mental health is the most important investment we can make right now; it will renew our capacity to invest in people (or the lives of people), here in Ventura County. Turning Point Foundation was established in 1988 and is governed by a board of directors drawn from the Ventura County community. Turning Point is the only non-profit agency in Ventura county that addresses the critical community support needs of mentally ill adults. Turning Point Foundation is serving more than 1000 clients each year through its shelter, supported housing and rehabilitation programs and plan to double that in the years to come.

Poverty, drugs, violence, climate change, forced migration and infectious disease are claiming countless lives, and the ones who witness and survive, their mental health. The World Health Organization has projected that depression will be the No. 2 cause of disability by 2020. For each person who suffers from a mental illness in Ventura County, each family and each community suffer as well. Jason Meek is the executive director of Turning Point Foundation and hopes the community should support or learn the early warning signs of diminished mental health and the steps needed to protect the individual.  For more information visit the website.

There are three important things that one needs to understand when getting real with real estate. These include:

First, you need to be really sure if you want to be involved into real estate. You will have to be completely certain on where you want to put your money in and be specific on the exact field of real estate that you want to delve in.

Understand the Market
You need to understand how the market is before settling on getting into the market. You need to access the market and be sure that it is not just a bubble since bubble markets usually blow over after a very short period of time.

Know the deal
Before investing, you need to be sure on what the deal is and what the deal does not involve. It is therefore very important to be sure on the little details that are in the deal even before signing the deal.

There is risk in any investment and getting into real estate, one need to have done extensive research so that they know what it is that they are exactly getting themselves into.
